Please note: Although this wedding is featured as an Anglican Church wedding at St George in the Forest, Troodos – we can also arrange a Yermasoyia Cultural Centre Town Hall wedding combined with the Taverna – giving you an alternative option.
Exchange your wedding vows in the coolness of the impressive Troodos Mountains which stretch across most of the western side of Cyprus. Nearby Mount Olympus is the highest point standing at 1,952 metres (6,404 feet). St George’s in the Forest provides an extraordinary Anglican ceremony venue away from the heat and humidity of the coastal towns. An enjoyable drive, and once you start up the mountain you wind your way past picturesque Cypriot villages on the way, the church is nestled among the pine trees in peace.
Your guests will be picked up by a chauffeur driven, air-conditioned, 20-seater minibus, together with the Groom, arranged and co-ordinated to leave before the Bridal car which will depart traditionally later following up to the Church. Our photographer and videographer will be waiting at the Church to greet everyone and take pre-wedding photos before welcoming the Bride and capturing her entrance into the Church. Photos and Video will be taken throughout the ceremony and again afterwards outside. The newly married couple will then take the Bridal Car to the reception venue with guests taking the minibus. The photographer/videographer will also go with you to take photos of the ‘Toast to the Bride and Groom’ and ‘Cutting of the Cake’. Couples shots, family shots and any requested photos will also be taken. The Bride and Groom will also have the opportunity of having more photos done in the traditional cobble-stoned village streets.
The reception venue is a charming, traditional taverna in the heart of the wine making region in the mountains where a chilled champagne toast awaits all guests with the time-honoured cutting of the cake. An authentic Cypriot meze with ingredients designed to reflect the richness of local produce will be sure to delight your family and friends with many local delicacies that just keep appearing before you! Unlimited local drinks are also included.
Your minibus will be ready at the venue to take everyone, including the Bride & Groom, home again after a very happy day!
Proofs of your photos will be delivered to your hotel for you and your family and friends to choose your favourites. Your wedding album with photos tastefully placed inside as well as your DVD and one complimentary copy will be with you before you leave Cyprus.
Wedding in the Forest Package includes
- Booking the time and date of your wedding with the Church
- Confirmation in writing – detailing your exact wedding date and time (you do not have to wait until you arrive in resort)
- Complete and accurate care of all legal documentation which will be checked before arrival in Cyprus
- Personal meeting at your accommodation the day after arrival to finalise your wedding plans and to double check your paperwork before the application appointment
- Pre-booked appointment at the Town Hall to obtain your Marriage Licence – application must be done in Limassol
- Assistance at the Town Hall to present your documents
- Pre-booked appointment with relevant church officials
- All appointments will be emailed to you before arrival to give reassurance
- Pre-booked return transport to pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the Town Hall for your Wedding Licence. Applications must be made in person in resort.
- If required, assistance in booking extra flowers for guests and hair and beauty
- Long bouquet of roses and lilies for the Bride – or Bride’s choice
- Rose buttonhole for the Groom to match colour theme
- 2 rose posies for Bridesmaids – to match colour theme
- 6 rose buttonholes – to match colour theme
- One decorated Bridal Car – Bridal Car will leave slightly later than guests for the Church. After the wedding the couple will then take the Bridal Car to the Taverna where it will leave you to enjoy your celebration.
- One 20-seater minibus – pick-ups will start from your Limassol Hotel taking the Groom and guests to the Church. Transport will then take guests to the Taverna and also take everyone, including Bride and Groom, back to their accommodation. This package may be changed accordingly for larger parties and a further minibus booked.

- 55 photos, 15cmx20cm, proofs review, photos in wedding album, CD of the 55 photos chosen including a photo release letter. Photographer and Videographer will welcome the Groom and guests and take pictures of them all arriving and pre-wedding pictures of the Groom and Best Man waiting for the Bride. He will then capture the Bride’s arrival and entrance into the Church. Photos will be taken throughout the wedding. They will then come with you to the reception venue where he will photograph the traditional cutting of the cake and toast to the Bride and Groom. You may of course request any photos you wish to be taken. Proofs will be delivered to your hotel accommodation for you and your guests to choose your favourites. All will be delivered to you before your return home.

Package price €4355 – Based on 20 persons but can be amended for any number of guests
- Registrar fees are set by the Cyprus Government, payable directly to the town hall and are not included in above
